Tenute del Cabreo


Part of its vineyard (Fattoria di Zano) is located right above Greve, consists of approximately 50 hectares planted with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon for the production of “Cabreo il Borgo”. The rest of the vineyards (25 hectares) are located in Panzano (6 Km south of Greve): they are planted with Chardonnay used to produce the “Cabreo La Pietra”.

The Folonari family has been making wine since the late eighteenth century. In 1825 the family-owned business took the name ‘Fratelli Folonari’ and adopted the mission of developing, producing and distributing the finest Italian wines throughout the world.
 In 1912, Italo Folonari – Ambrogio Folonari’s grandfather – and his brother Francesco purchased the Ruffino Company in Tuscany that was famous for its Chianti wine in straw-covered flasks.

Characteristics of Cabreo "La Pietra" combines the qualities of refinement and delicacy, typical of white wines, to the boldness and vigor of some reds.Bright yellow-gold in colour it presents a rich and intense bouquet. At the Palate is velvety, harmonious and complex with hints of spice, vanilla, butter and peach compote.

Finezza e delicatezza proprie dei vini bianchi con forza e nerbo tipici di alcuni vini rossi. Colore giallo oro brillante, bouquet ricco e intenso, sapore vellutato, armonico complesso con sentori di spezie, vaniglia, burro e composta di pesche.
